Kearney-Holt CAN Brings Back Grow Gathering for Second Year

Kearney-Holt CAN will host its second annual Kearney Grow Gathering on Friday, Oct. 16, offering fifth-, sixth- and seventh-grade girls a day focused on personal growth, self-care and stronger community connections.

The 2026 event will run from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Kearney. The program will feature keynote speakers, sessions led by local woman-owned businesses, crafts, breakfast and lunch.

Parents also may attend an optional session designed to help them better understand adolescent brain development and the needs of young people.

Participants from the 2025 Grow Gathering said the event helped them distinguish between self-care and coping skills and recognize the many ways they can help others.
