Hall of Fame Golf Tournament Set for June 25

Kearney High School supporters will have the chance to hit the links this summer while supporting the school’s Hall of Fame program during the 2026 Kearney High School Hall of Fame Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 25, at Club Marimack in Kearney.

Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will use a four-person scramble format and is limited to the first 18 teams to register. The cost is $240 per team, and teams may sign up and pay online using the event’s QR code.

A catered BBQ lunch will be provided for participants, making the event an opportunity for golfers, alumni, families and community members to gather in support of Kearney High School activities.

Businesses and individuals may also support the tournament through several sponsorship levels. The Hall of Fame Tournament Sponsor package is available for $1,200 and includes a free four-person team entry, a banner at the Club Marimack entry point and recognition as the title sponsor.

Platinum sponsorships are available for $600, with four total opportunities for driving range or beverage cart sponsorships. These sponsors will receive signage at the driving range or on a beverage cart. Gold solo hole sponsorships are available for $400, with 17 total opportunities, and include sole signage on a tournament hole.

Purple course signage sponsorships are also available for $100 if hole sponsorships do not sell out.

Sheriff's Office Hosts Golf Tournament Benefiting HALO Team

The annual Clay County Sheriff's Office Charity Golf Tournament is set for 8 a.m. on June 1 at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri. This 4-person scramble event will raise funds for the CCSO HALO (Helping All Live Optimally) Team, a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides critical support to Sheriff's Office members facing financial hardships.

The HALO Team, overseen by a volunteer board of Sheriff's Office employees, has assisted with a range of needs, including utility bills, rent, medical expenses, groceries, and car repairs.

Organizers are seeking teams, sponsors, donations, and items for both the auction and raffle, as well as swag contributions. Registration is $100 per person or $400 per team, which includes lunch, drinks on the course, and a raffle ticket. Participants will have the chance to compete for cash prizes for first place in each flight and enjoy a variety of fun contests throughout the day.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office Charity Golf Tournament alternates years with the Clay County Sheriff's Office Canine Fund Golf Tournament, which is scheduled to return in 2027. Sponsorships ranging from $100 to $500 are available for local businesses and individuals interested in supporting the cause.

Quarterback Club Golf Tournament Scheduled

The Kearney High School Quarterback Club is inviting the Bulldog community to hit the links for a good cause at its Annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 2nd at the Excelsior Springs Golf Course.

The tournament is a fundraiser supporting the Kearney Bulldog Football program and brings together players, families, alumni, and fans for a day of golf and community spirit.

Teams of four can register for $500, and several sponsorship opportunities are available, including corporate, Bulldog, and hole sponsorships for local businesses and supporters.

All proceeds go toward providing resources and opportunities for Bulldog football student-athletes.

American Legion Hosts Golf Tournament to Support Veterans

The Smithville American Legion Post 58 is gearing up for its annual Golf Tournament, set to take place on Thursday, September 5, at Paradise Pointe Golf Course on Smithville Lake. The event serves as a major fundraiser supporting local veterans, youth programs, and community initiatives.

Hosted by the Post 58 Family—including Veterans, Sons of the American Legion, the Auxiliary, and the Legion Riders—the tournament aims to generate thousands of dollars for programs that promote citizenship, patriotism, and veteran care throughout the region.

Organizers are currently seeking sponsors for various tournament categories, including all 18 holes, the driving range, breakfast, lunch, and golf carts. Sponsors will receive recognition through on-site signage featuring their company name or logo, ensuring high visibility among participants.

As a 501(c)(19) charitable organization, all donations to Post 58 are tax-deductible. The group has made a significant impact in the Smithville area, with a family membership exceeding 400 and annual contributions to school programs often surpassing $20,000.
