The Kearney Board of Aldermen has officially paved the way for a vibrant 2026 outdoor season, approving the return of the Kearney Community Market and the new "Market at Park" initiative.
The board’s recent actions emphasize community engagement, especially as the region prepares for a surge in visitors during the summer of 2026. To support this growth, a Spring Vendor Info Meeting is scheduled for March 19, 2026, at 6:30 pm, at the Kearney Public Library for those interested in joining the market.
The market will feature several themed weekends throughout the season, held on Saturdays at its downtown location:

May 10: Mother’s Day Market
May 24: Memorial Day Market
June 14: Father’s Day Market

August 30: Labor Day Market
October 4: OktoberFest Market (Held in conjunction with the city’s Oktoberfest celebration)
